About William
William Chamberlain is a fantasy author from Marinette, Wisconsin. Growing up William’s first love was Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle. From there he quickly absorbed anything he could find that involved swords and sorcery. He became well known among his friends for running wacky Pathfinder tabletop campaigns.
The writing bug first bit William in elementary school when he would frequently hand out short stories to his classmates about the battle between the armies of peanut butter and jelly. As an adult William was inspired to write a full length novel upon reading both V.E. Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic and Brandon Sanderon’s Elantris. After two years and having to rewrite the novel three times due to hard drive failures he completed his first manuscript and determined to keep on writing.
Now William works as a software engineer by day and a bleary eyed author by night. He lives on the western shore of Lake Michigan with his wife and two children
